Masahiko Kobe is the first and current Iron Chef Italian. Out of the 4, he is the youngest (he's in his early 20's) of the Iron Chefs. He was trained at Ediko Penkiore (sp?) in Italy. The show wanted 4 Chefs, and they selected Kobe to be Iron Chef Italian. Kobe was a bit wild and undisciplined, and was made to undergo training before he made his appearance.
The funny thing is, he lost his debut battle! But he's wised up ever since, and earned the nickname "The Prince of Pasta", for Kobe NEVER battles without using his pasta machine.
